Pladis ramps up regenerative agriculture to safeguard critical supplies. ## Maker of McVitie’s, Turtles and Godiva unveils new regenerative farming initiative to strengthen supply chains. * Pladis launches Back to Farm programme, supporting regenerative practices among growers. Pladis has launched a new sustainability initiative aimed at supporting farmers as they adopt regenerative farming practices. As wheat is a critical raw material for the confectionery and snacking giant, strengthening farm resilience and supporting growers could help safeguard long-term crop yields and secure future supplies. The initiative forms part of broader efforts to strengthen the long-term sustainability and security of its agricultural supply chains. “The programme brings together farmers, agronomists and supply chain partners to support responsible sourcing, strengthen long-term resilience and help create a more sustainable future for food production,” says Pladis. With climate risk and supply chain resilience rising up the corporate agenda, regenerative agriculture is increasingly being viewed as a core component of long-term sourcing strategies rather than a standalone sustainability initiative.
